SkillAge Online
Game rules
How we play together in SkillAge Online, in plain words, and what happens when someone breaks a rule. These rules are part of our Terms of service: by playing, you agree to them.
The short version: one account each, play it yourself, report bugs rather than use them, never trade for real money, and treat everyone with respect.

1. One account per person
So the Market, the leaderboards and guilds stay fair. A second account could feed the first gold and items, or take a second place on a leaderboard.
- One account, one person. Play on a single account. No second accounts, not even one just for trading or for storing items.
- Yours alone. Don’t share your account or let anyone else play on it, and don’t play on someone else’s.
- Not for sale. Don’t buy, sell, swap, lend or give away an account.
- A guest stays one account. Connecting your guest to Google or an email address later keeps it the same account; it doesn’t add a second one.
- Sharing a home is fine. Family members or housemates may each have their own account on the same computer or internet connection, as long as each plays only their own.
Made two accounts by accident, for example a guest in a second browser? Write to support@skillage.app and tell us which one to keep. We close the other.
Back to the contents2. No cheating
So every level, item and place on the leaderboards is earned the same way, by everyone.
SkillAge is an idle game: actions run by themselves, the queue starts the next one, the Camp keeps its own timers and progress continues while you are away. That is the only automation allowed. Don’t use:
- bots, macros, scripts or auto-clickers, or anything else that plays or clicks for you;
- a modified game client, or an extension or program that changes how the game works;
- tools that change, repeat or forge the requests the game sends to our servers;
- any other automation beyond the game’s own idle play.
Tools that help you play the game yourself, such as a screen reader, zoom, a password manager or your own notes, are fine. Not sure about one? Ask us first.
Back to the contents3. Report bugs, don’t use them
A bug that hands out gold or items hurts every player’s economy, and a report gets it fixed for everyone.
- Report it. Post it in the bug report forum on our Discord server, or write to support@skillage.app. The notice board in the game shows where each report stands.
- Don’t use it. Deliberately abusing a bug or an exploit for gold, items, experience or any other advantage is cheating. What it gained is removed, and the steps in What happens when a rule is broken apply.
- Don’t spread it. Don’t tell other players how to use one. Tell us instead.
- Found one by accident? That isn’t cheating. Report it and don’t repeat it. We may still undo what it gave you.
4. No real-money trading
So gold and items are earned in the game, not bought outside it. That keeps the Market’s prices and the leaderboards honest, and players safe from scams.
- Don’t buy or sell gold, items, accounts or services, such as levelling someone else’s character, for real money.
- The same goes for trading them for another game’s currency or items, or for anything else of value outside SkillAge.
- Don’t offer or advertise such trades, in the game or on our Discord server.
Trading with other players for gold on the Market is part of the game, and so is giving to your guild’s treasury. Premium is our own membership: it gives cosmetics and conveniences, never gold.
Back to the contents5. Trade fairly
So players can trust each other when they trade, on the Market and in their guilds.
- Don’t scam. Keep to what you agree with another player, and don’t promise gold, items or help you won’t give.
- Don’t talk a player into a trade by pretending to be someone else, such as another player, a guild officer or our staff.
- A price a player chose freely, even a poor one, is trading, not a scam.
- Moving gold or Market prices with a second account already breaks rule 1, One account per person.
6. Respect other players
So SkillAge stays a friendly place to play, for everyone.
Don’t:
- harass, bully, threaten or insult other players;
- post hate against anyone for who they are, such as their race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexuality, disability or nationality;
- post sexual content, or illegal content of any kind;
- spam or advertise;
- share someone else’s personal details, such as their real name, address or photo;
- pretend to be our staff, or to speak for SkillAge Online.
This applies everywhere you can write in the game: character names, guild names and descriptions, guild chat and profile mottos.
Back to the contents7. Names
A name is the first thing other players see: on the leaderboards, in guilds and on your profile.
- Character names and guild names keep to rule 6: nothing hateful, sexual, violent or insulting, and nothing that pretends to be someone else, including our staff.
- Staff may reset a name that breaks these rules, and remove a guild description or a profile motto that does. A reset name stays blocked, and the game asks you to choose a new one.
- Choosing another name like it counts as breaking the rules again.
8. Reporting a player
We can’t see everything that happens in the game. A report is how we find out.
- In the game: use Report on a guild chat message, or on a player’s profile for their name or motto. A person on our team reviews it, and the game tells you what we decided, without naming anyone. The player you reported is never told who reported them.
- On Discord: tell our staff on the SkillAge Discord server.
- By email: write to support@skillage.app. Say who it was, what happened and when, and add a screenshot if you have one.
Please don’t report someone falsely to get them punished: that breaks these rules too.
Back to the contents9. What happens when a rule is broken
So everyone knows what to expect, and a mistake can be put right before it costs an account.
Most of the time we go step by step:
- A warning. We tell you which rule was broken.
- A temporary suspension. For a while the account can’t play, is taken off the leaderboards, and its profile can’t be seen.
- A permanent ban. The account is closed for good.
- Gains from cheating are always removed, such as gold, items, experience or levels, whichever step is taken.
- Serious cases may go straight to a ban: bots, real-money trading, hacking (attacking our servers or getting into other players’ accounts) and illegal content.
- A new account doesn’t start over. An account made to get round a suspension or a ban is closed too.
- We tell you why. When we act on your account or on something you posted, the game sends you a notice: what it was about, which rule was broken, what we did, and how to appeal.
Appeals
Think we got it wrong? Write to support@skillage.app within 30 days of our decision, from your account’s email address or with your character’s name, and tell us why. A person, not an automatic system, reviews every appeal and tells you the outcome.
