Opening the gates…

The gates are taking longer than usual. Your progress is safe: reloading the page usually helps.

An open stone gate with violet banners overlooks Zygeonia at golden hour: a road leads toward green fields and a stronghold, with snowy forge peaks, pale terraces, deep river forests and turquoise island towns beyond.

The Lamplighter’s road

Alpha 0.10.0 opens a road without a blade. After the first light at the end of Chapter 1, your emissary hands you the Lamplighter’s Lantern, the fifteenth piece on your tool belt. Carried lit, your gathering, crafting and camp work glows with rarer finds, finer results and better harvests, and you find Embers to upgrade it from Copper to Titanium. Every later story fight now has a peaceful way through, and your guild can turn your Embers into Lamplight for its fighters at the Briar Colossus.

Every crafting skill now makes finer pieces from finer materials. Planks, leather and cloth can come out Uncommon, fishers land prize catches, and a Fine gem, an Uncommon bar or a prize perch carries its grade into what you make as often as your Craftsmanship allows. A craft that falls short no longer leaves nothing: it leaves scraps, burnt food or gem dust, which you can salvage back into part of their material.

Jewelcrafting levels much faster, and the update brings fixes and suggestions from our Discord. Your character carries over: nothing is reset.
